EpoDB Query: Find Promoter Box

You may look for one or two promoter boxes (from the choices below) in a sequence region of your gene of interest. Or you may enter your own sequence boxes to search for.

The point of this query is to identify transcription factor binding sites in promoter regions of gene entries in EpoDB.

A gene name is chosen from the scrollable menu; if a gene name such as "A gamma-globin" has multiple entries associated with it, then all those entries will be usedd in the search.
A range is given relative to the start of transcription or "cap site." Therefore, a sample query would use "-200" as start of range and "1" as end of range to search 200 nucleotides of promoter up to the cap site. Any numbers can be entered, however, it should be noted that longer ranges take longer times and the start of range should be less than the end of range.
