EPConDB uses DoTS (Database of Transcribed Sequences) to get about information about human and mouse transcripts. This tutorial describes the kinds of annotation available for each human or mouse DoTS transcript. This information forms the basis for the queries available on the EPConDB web site.

Analysis

Type Description
Searching for transcription factor binding sites 

This analysis tool lets you search for genes with a pattern of transcription factor binding sites in their promoters or introns. You specify the arrangment of the sites, submit the search, and wait for notification to be emailed to you, then browse the results. Since the query takes 30 minutes to 8 hours to run, the results are stored for a while and can be recalled at a later time.
